About DMSprouse Art
My name is Dave Sprouse, when I was seven years old I remember my mother handing me a plastic Kodak camera and film cartridge as we stood in a small rose garden at the front of our greenhouse. We lived on a small three acre farm on the south end of Whidbey Island, located in the northwest corner of Washington State, 90 miles north of Seattle. I recall the morning sun shining on her face as she said to me "This is all the film we can afford for the summer, so make it last". I think the film lasted about an hour before I opened the camera to see the pictures and exposed the film to the afternoon sun. Who knew it had to be processed, I guess i was ready for digital at an early age. I carried that camera around the entire summer without film, framing every shot as I imagined what it would look like as a real picture. From that summer on I have had an interest in photography. In addition to photography and digital art you will find that I have posted images of wood carvings and hand or cnc made jewelry we have designed.
We are also available for freelance assignments should you have the need. All portrait sessions are assisted by my best friend and wife of 36 years Maggie. We enjoy working together as a team to make sure your session is a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Just email us for more information.
